Peer Support

Peer support

Someone who has been through the same thing understands.
As an equal, simply beside you.

Is this for you?

Peer support may be what you need right now

There are things you cannot say to your doctor, but you still want to tell someone
You would like to hear from someone who has had the same illness
It may not be enough to see a professional, but you feel alone
You are there for your family, and it is hard on you too
You do not know yet where to turn. You just want to talk first
How it works

What peer support offers

A place to come before seeing a professional, or whenever you feel alone.

01

You just talk

No technical terms, no need for neat phrasing. A place to say what you feel, as it is.

02

You feel understood

The understanding that only comes from someone who has been there. There are moments when you realise you were not alone.

03

You learn from lived experience

Information and hints for your next step, all drawn from what they have lived themselves.

360° Support

A team around you

Peer support is often the doorway into the team. If, as you talk, you find yourself wanting to go deeper, we will hand you over to a psychologist or coach without friction.

If, while listening, your peer supporter feels that a psychologist might help, they can suggest a hand-over to one of our psychologists or coaches. So that you never have to explain everything again from scratch, the team shares what it needs to — always with your consent.
